My Day at the Department of Veterans Affairs 8-21-2018

Hi, I’m Steven. I’m going to give you a small peek at what I do day to day. Anyone who is a Medical Assistant/Receptionist/Information Clerk/plus a million more things will relate to my job.

I’m a Medical Support Assistant at the Providence Department of Veterans Affairs. Today I went to work and here’s how my routine goes. I get up at 5:00 a.m. and get to work at 6:45 a.m. to ensure I get a decent parking spot. I can use the walk so I park farther away than I need to. I admire those who park at the bottom of the hill and walk up it every day.

I go inside the building I work in and boot my computer up for a busy day. I give a cheery “Good Morning” to anyone who even glances my way especially my Veteran heroes. I perform my tasks as prescribed under Law and put as much effort as my feeble older self will allow. I always work with hustle and keep moving as fast as possible.

I’m guided by strict privacy laws about what I can talk about but what I can say is that I do as much as possible to ensure that everyone who comes into contact with me goes away a satisfied customer.

That’s a small peek for today. I’ll see what else I can come up with tomorrow. Feel free to leave me questions in the comments.
